VAR controversy in the Premier League continued on Sunday as Manchester City were awarded a penalty against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues welcomed Pep Guardiola's men to west London looking to build on Monday night's 4-1 thrilling win over Tottenham. However, after an electric start by Mauricio Pochettino's side, the game's first turning point came in the 20th minute.
A penalty was given to the visitors after Marc Cucurella was penalised for bringing Erling Haaland down inside the six yard box. The decision was reviewed by VAR before referee Anthony Taylor's decision was backed.
Replays showed Cucurella pulled Haaland down to the floor after Jeremy Doku delivered a cross. However, the striker seemed to pull the defender's shirt seconds before the incident.
Haaland stepped up and scored his first ever goal against Chelsea, but the decision to reward the spot-kick was not agreed upon by Sky Sports' Jamie Carragher.
