Why Takehiro Tomiyasu is not included in Arsenal squad for Wolves as Mikel Arteta dealt blow
Takehiro Tomiyasu misses out on the matchday squad for Arsenal's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Japan international was involved from the start as Arsenal went out of the Champions League following a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich. His absence is one of three changes Mikel Arteta makes to the starting XI for a crucial clash at Molineux.
The others see Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard come into the starting line up. They replace Jorginho and Gabriel Martinelli as Arteta drops Kai Havertz back in to midfield.
Tomiyasu though is out of the squad entirely. The 25-year-old picked up a knock in the build up to the match and has been left out as a precaution.

He is one of two players unfit to play at Wolves. Jurrien Timber is the other. The Dutch international has been absent since the first weekend of the season due to an ACL injury, but is hoping to be back before the end of the campaign. This game however, is too early for him.
«It’s too soon,» Arteta said in his pre-match press conference of Timber's chances of playing. «He’s gonna play a game with the 23s and after that we will see better how he feels. He looks really good in training, but it’s that last big step, we need to see if he’s ready and how it’s going to go.»
