Good evening from Molineux, and welcome back. The new season is nearly upon us and preparations are gathering pace. Wolves have had two public friendlies so far, against Porto and Celtic, but now they are back on home turf for the first time in this pre-season campaign.
First up is Luton Town tonight (7.30pm), followed by Stade Rennais on Saturday as Julen Lopetegui has the chance to fine tune the team for that Premier League opener away to Manchester United on Monday August 14.
There's no doubt the manager would have liked more signings by now but the club is operating under financial restraints and so have so far only brought in back up keeper Tom King and right back Matt Doherty, both on free transfers. So, this is a chance for players already in the squad to show what they can do and maybe force their way into Lopetegui's starting XI.
Whatever happens, we've got you covered. I'm BirminghamLive's Wolves reporter Mike Baggaley and am blogging live from tonight's game. So, follow me for all the build up, team news, the action, player ratings and reaction.
