Barcelona manager Xavi spoke at the Parc des Princes ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg tie against the Catalan side. Xavi spoke about the difficulties of managing a newly-founded rivalry between both clubs and sets of supporters, in the context of Barça’s Tweet depicting their players drawn onto Parisian monuments.
“It’s difficult to manage all that [externally],” said the former Champions League-winning midfielder. “I hope that nothing bad will happen [between the two sets of fans] and that people will have a good time during the match, with a lot of respect between the supporters of both teams.”
