Jadon Sancho has been told he 'wouldn't see the light of day' if he had issued his recent social media response to Sir Alex Ferguson.
It comes after the 23-year-old hit out at Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag following criticism over his performances in training.
Ten Hag revealed on Sunday that he left Sancho out of his matchday squad for the 3-1 defeat away at Arsenal as he had not been training well.
Sancho had started the opening three Premier League games for the Red Devils, who have now lost both of their away matches this season.
And he didn't take kindly to Ten Hag's comments, as he took to X to defend himself.
The 23-cap England international posted: «I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
»I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
His online antics haven't gone down well with former United goalkeeper Ben Foster, who has slammed the winger for his response.
«It is absolutely crazy,” Foster told The United Stand YouTube Show. „If Alex Ferguson is manager and Jadon Sancho did this, he would never see the light of day for Manchester United.
“He would never play for this club, he wouldn't be allowed near the changing ground, you are done. It is petulant, emotive, reactional, and disrespectful.
»It just becomes a massive storm and now everyone wants to know what has happened — has Ten Hag lost the dressing room? What were the training sessions really like?
«Sancho says it is nothing to do with training, fantastic, you should be applying yourself and putting the work in.
»That is the minimum. I don't blame Ten Hag one little bit, as long as that is the truth."
