Youri Tielemans made his first appearance for Aston Villa in their pre-season friendly against Newcastle, and it was fascinatingly captured by bodycam footage.
The Belgian made the move to Villa this summer after his Leicester contract expired, with his debut coming as a substitute during the Premier League Summer Series in the United States.
Tielemans debut was captured in a unique fashion, with the midfielder wearing a bodycam to give viewers an inside look at the work of a Premier League midfielder.
In the footage published by the Premier League, fans were able to watch the amount of running Tielemans does in the middle of the park, as well just how little time the players have on the ball.
There were familiar calls from the 26-year-old as he was heard shouting for a pass or warning a teammate of an oncoming opponent by screaming 'man on'.
There was also a first hand angle of Tielemans taking a corner kick, something fans were accustom to seeing in high-tech sportswear advert rather than in a battle between two Premier League sides.
The footage also captured pleasantries from players and officials at the end of the game with Tielemans shaking hands with the referee and Newcastle players.
Bodycams have been used across the pre-season friendly tournament in America, with Premier League referee Peter Bankes capturing perhaps the best footage so far in Fulham's 3-2 win over Brentford on Sunday.
Bankes was in the perfect position to give viewers a new angle of Harry Wilson's screamer that opened the scoring in Philadelphia.
Referees and players will not be able to use the devices when the Premier League resumes next month, as they are prohibited under the laws of the game, as well as the use of live audio.
