Ange Postecoglou is reportedly setting his sights on six new additions to boost Tottenham's squad come summertime.
Regardless of their disappointing form of late, Postecoglou's influence can't be doubted — the ex-Celtic manager's inaugural season was stamped by his signature attack-oriented gameplay and bringing in some top-notch signings.
However, funding for Spurs' potential summer splurge would involve offloading a few from their current line-up, save one whose future appears to be secured within the club's fold. Last Thursday's 2-0 loss at Chelsea saw Postecoglou making a clear cut declaration.
He said: «We need change. Change has to happen. You can't want to alter your course, and quite dramatically for this club because we went down a certain direction and now we're pivoting to a whole different direction, and expect the same people are going to be on that [journey].
»It's just not going to happen. We're going to play a certain way, we're going to train a certain way and we're going to have a certain mindset, and that's not for everyone."
Spurs are set to entertain bids for several high-profile players this summer, as part of the 'overhaul' Postecoglou is demanding. The Telegraph reports that Richarlison and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg could be on their way out, but Yves Bissouma is off-limits unless a substantial offer comes in for the midfielder.
