DR Congo's manager has welcomed the possibility Aaron Wan-Bissaka of switching international allegiances from England, although there's currently no indication the Manchester United defender will decide to change his nation.
Wan-Bissaka's parents were born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo before moving to Croydon and he's eligible to play for the African nation because he's never been given a senior cap by England despite being 25 years old.
England have fierce competition at right-back and Wan-Bissaka was last named in a Three Lions squad in September 2019. He enjoyed a renaissance last season and has become the first-choice right-back at Old Trafford again.

DR Congo manager Sebastien Desabre was asked about Wan-Bissaka switching international allegiances and he admitted the door was open for him to play, providing that he wants to fully commit to his parents' homeland.
“He’s a nice player as you know but we won’t run after the players. We have a lot of players who worked very hard for us to qualify for AFCON. If Aaron or other players are at a good level and want to come there’s no problem,” Desabre said.
“The team is open for all players [who have Congolese connection] but on one condition that they must want it with their hearts to come to the national team. When it’s the right moment for this guy [Wan-Bissaka], he can come.”
“Most of our players play in Europe and they are superstars and these fans hadn’t seen them before, so they came in numbers to watch them, players like [Cédric] Bakambu. We are so happy about that."
The Africa Cup of Nations takes place in January and United could be without goalkeeper Andre Onana for around seven games, meaning
