Adama City caused a huge upset Friday when they beat St George 2-1 and Hadiya Hossana 2-0.
Adama came out smoking and they were quickly out of the gates in the 6th minute when Mussie Kiros scored.
St George a piled on the pressure through the rest of the first half but Adama held on to their 1-0 lead at the break.
Adama doubled their advantage in the 54th minute with Biniam Ayiten on target for 2-0.
St George pulled a goal back on 77 minutes through Tamirat Eyasu, but it was too little, too late as Adama held on for a famous win, and a jump to 6th place.
St George remain in second place behind Mekelakeya with the possibility that CBE will overtake them with a win.
Hadiya Hossana piled more misery on Hambericho's season with two second goals.
Hambericho looked to be on to something when they managed to hold Hadiya to a goalless first half.
However, their resistance was broken in the 65th minute when Temesgen Birhanu to give Hadiya a 1-0 lead.
Dawa Hotessa made it 2-0 in the 87th minute, a win that confines Hambericho to real relegation worries but moves Hadiya up three places to 8th on the log.
