Alexis Mac Allister believes Liverpool can "build something important" as he revealed how he is settling into Jurgen Klopp's squad.
Mac Allister made his first start for the Reds following his £35million move from Brighton & Hove Albion last month when featuring in the first half of the 4-4 friendly draw against German second tier side Greuther Furth in Villingen-Schwenningen on Monday afternoon.
It concluded a 10-day stay in the country with Klopp's side having won 4-2 at Karlsruhe SC on Wednesday in their opening pre-season warm-up match.
And while Mac Allister admits the preparations have thus far been demanding, he has seen enough to hope for a successful campaign for Liverpool.

"It's a tough pre-season but we all know that this part is very important for the season," said the Argentina World Cup winner. "As you can see, three sessions is not easy every day but we are doing well and overall it's a very good pre-season.
"It's a pre-season game, of course you always want to win but that's not the most important thing. We know we have to improve in a couple of things but it's good to get more minutes in the tank.
"There are a lot of positive things. I'm a new player so I still have to get to know my team-mates, their strengths and weaknesses. But they are really good players here and we can build something important."
