Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has set his sights on helping lead the Reds back to silverware.
Jurgen Klopp's side endured a difficult campaign last time out as they managed to salvage a fifth-place finish in the Premier League after being knocked out of every cup competition.
Alisson was named player of the season for Liverpool after his heroic performances between the sticks. Unlike previous seasons, the Brazilian faced a substantial number of attacks on his goal as a result of frailties in the Reds' midfield and defence.
A midfield overhaul is in progress on Merseyside following the departure of three free agents at the beginning of the summer. But unexpectedly, Liverpool have been subject to approaches from Saudi Arabian clubs for current engine-room options Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. As part of the restructure, Reds boss Kloppwelcomed Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister from RB Leipzig and Brighton & Hove Albion to the club respectively. But further signings will need to be made if Fabinho and Henderson leave.
With uncertainty circulating off the pitch for Liverpool, on the pitch, their players have endured four difficult days in Germany as part of pre-season. But their work in Baden-Württemberg has fuelled the shot-stopper's appetite for the new season.
