Usuthu began their 2023/24 campaign with a 0-0 draw against one of their KwaZulu-Natal rivals, Royal AM at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.
The draw stretched AmaZulu's winless run to four matches in the DStv Premiership having recorded two consecutive defeats and two draws.
Meanwhile, SuperSport got off to the perfect start in the current season as they emerged as 2-0 winners over Richards Bay at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
The win saw Matsatsantsa bounce back to winning ways in the league as they ended the 2022/23 season with a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United.

AmaZulu have no suspension concerns having been boosted by the availability of Celimpilo Ngema who served his one-match suspension against Royal AM.
SuperSport, on the other hand, also doesn't have any suspension worries coming into their encounter against Usuthu in Durban.
