Andy Roberton admitted that Liverpool must do better after being left "extremely frustrated" after their 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.

Liverpool had opportunities of their own with desperate defending, Dean Henderson and poor finishing making for a frustrating afternoon on Merseyside. They now sit two points behind league leaders Manchester City but could fall further away should Arsenal beat Aston Villa.

"It's been the story of the last few games and that's why we've been punished," said Robertson. "We're struggling to keep clean sheets, I don't know how many we've had in the last 10 or 15 games but we won't have many, when you do that but still create so many chances you have to take them.
"The boys in front of goal have to do better but the defensive unit as a whole we have to do better which isn't a great thing for success. So frustrating today, first half we were poor they were on top and could've probably been more than 1-0 up and second-half, we probably had enough chances to win two or three games which when you're in a title race, you have to be clinical and we wasn't that today," he added.
