Liverpool's season continued to unravel when the Premier League title hopes suffered a major blow with a second home defeat inside three days.
An early goal for Eberechi Eze was sufficient to earn Crystal Palace a shock 1-0 victory at Anfield on Sunday despite the home side having 21 shots, hitting the bar and spurning a number of presentable opportunities.

By some distance Liverpool’s best player first half, creating chances when energetically regularly raiding forward and making one heroic goalline clearance from Mateta. Quieter after break, however.

Hit the underside of the bar but too often slow to track back and wayward in possession, prompting growing outrage from an unhappy crowd. Subbed.

Brought energy to Liverpool’s efforts in the opening quarter but was soon dragged down. Kept at it second half but missed two big chances. Booked and subbed.
