According to L’Équipe, Napoli’s priority to replace Rudi Garcia is former Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte.
French manager Garcia only took charge of Napoli in the summer. He succeeded Luciano Spalletti, who won Serie A with the club last season. However, he has quickly come under pressure. Aurelio De Laurentiis even evoked Garcia’s departure on Tuesday, admitting that it “isn’t a good moment.” However, he said he would make a decision on Garcia in his own time, and won’t be influenced by fans.
Foot Mercato reported on Monday that former Olympique de Marseille manager Igor Tudor, former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, and former River Plate manager Marcelo Gallardo were the leading contenders to replace the under-fire Frenchman, however, L‘ Équipe report that Napoli’s priority is Conte.
There are doubts as to whether former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Conte would want to arrive at the club mid-way through the season.
