Arsenal fire clear seven-word message to Man City ahead of Premier League title clash

Arsenal face a season-defining clash on Sunday afternoon as they visit Premier League champions Manchester City. The Gunners have spent the last three weeks at the top of the table with FA Cup action and the international break the priority over the last two weekends.

Prior to Arsenal's clash against Man City, Liverpool take on Brighton at Anfield where securing three points will be the expected outcome. Following the weekend's action, all three teams will have just nine games to play with injuries likely to play a huge role in deciding the winner.

Arteta and his players were involved in last season's title race before ultimately coming up short to City. Ahead of the clash, the Arsenal boss was asked about this season's title race with his answer telling of how the squad are shaping up for the run-in.

Speaking in a press conference, he said: «I was just watching everybody walking in the building and I loved the energy, I loved their smiles and they were glad to be back. They wanted to train yesterday and the way they communicate and relate with each other every day is phenomenal.

»We have done a lot to be in the position that we are, but we need to go day by day, train well, prepare every match. We've done a lot to be where we are now we have to embrace that position and go for it." Around this time last season, the Gunners headed to Manchester for a huge clash and they were comfortably beaten 4-1.

However, with Declan Rice and Kai Havertz now in their ranks, along with eight consecutive league wins, the Gunners head into the game with serious momentum. Kyle Walker and John Stones missing the clash through injury could also give Arsenal a major advantage.
