Arsenal are gearing up for their Champions League quarter-final clash with Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening and Mikel Arteta has plenty of players to choose from when selecting his lineup.
The Gunners come into tonight's game on the back of a hugely impressive 3-0 away win at Brighton, which moved the club back to the top of the Premier League table, and will be aiming to carry forward this momentum into Europe.
There were fears over Bukayo Saka's condition after the England international missed the recent win over Luton Town, though he made a return to action during Sunday's triumph on the south coast and was able to get on the scoresheet. It was confirmed after the full-time whistle Saka had completed the match without aggravating his previous issue.
Elsewhere, Arteta recently welcomed back Gabriel Martinelli and Takehiro Tomiyasu from their respective injuries and is now only missingJurrien Timber from his first-team squad.
Issuing an update on the availability of the Dutchman last week, the Arsenal boss said: «He’s doing very well; he’s back training. He’s not far off, but the thing is that last step. He hasn’t played any minutes, so does he need a game with the U21s. I think he has a good chance [of playing again this season].»
Timber has been sidelined since the first game of the Premier League season against Nottingham Forest, during which the 22-year-old sustained an ACL injury that has preventing him from featuring again this campaign.
Below is an overview of the full squad available to Arteta as he goes in search of a positive first-leg performance against Bayern at Emirates Stadium.
Goalkeepers: David Raya, Aaron Ramsdale, Karl Hein
Defenders: William Saliba, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Jakub Kiwior, Oleksandr
