Arsenal have enjoyed a good start to April as they look back upon a strong end to the previous month as they return home from a second clean sheet against Manchester City.The 0-0 draw set up a tasty final nine matches where one of three teams could still lift the title and just three points separating all of them.
The Gunners now enter a busy schedule however with two games per week for potentially the next six. Should they progress past Bayern Munich in the Champions League they will not have a midweek rest until after the penultimate match of the campaign.
With that in mind, Premier League action returns tomorrow having taken just the one day off on Monday and Arsenal will be hoping for a dream week with the fixtures on offer. With two games of their own, attention will inevitably turn to both Liverpool and City with both playing two games of their own.
From an Arsenal perspective, however, they have matches at home to Luton Town and then a trip to Sussex to face Brighton. Both have their challenges despite the Gunners winning the reverse clashes already this season with six goals across the two games.
Although the win is certainly the number one priority, it will hopefully be a chance for Mikel Arteta to rotate his side efficiently. Thomas Partey, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Emile Smith Rowe, Fabio Vieira, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are all vying for more game time and Arteta might need to use his squad in the weeks that remain to give rest to key players like Bukayo Saka for instance who came off against City with fatigue.
