Liverpool suffered a frustrating afternoon as they failed to see off a poor Manchester United side for the second time in three weeks on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah scored a late penalty after United responded to Luis Diaz's first-half strike with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo as the Reds earned a 2-2 draw. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s men are now second in the table behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference with champions Manchester City a further point adrift.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Old Trafford.

Klopp befuddled
Liverpool were infuriating in their inability to turn dominance into goals in the first half, and there was one instance that seemingly bewildered Klopp more than any other.
With the Reds cranking up the pressure with a succession of corners, they chose to play the ball short and pass it all the way back to the halfway line, prompting a disbelieving Liverpool manager to stand on the touchline with his arms outstretched enquiring exactly what the point of that move was.
Given his team opened the scoring shortly afterwards from a more conventional corner routine, it suggests he was probably correct to question the decision.
