Attacker signing targeted

Arsenal could still be in the market to sign a right-sided attacker during the remainder of the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.

“I’ve just been told to keep an eye on the attacking side of the pitch, particularly on the right side as well", Sheth said when asked if the Gunners were keen to recruit additional players. "Remember a couple of summers ago they tried to sign Raphinha - he ended up going to Barcelona.

"They’re also interested in Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. I know Aston Villa have had a bid rejected for him as well, so that may be an area just to keep an eye on.

"It would require now a few departures and money to be recouped because after Havertz, Rice and Timber they’ve gone through £200million in this transfer window."

Kimmich opportunity

Earlier in the summer transfer window Arsenal were linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

Back in May, Spanish outlet Marca reported that the Gunners were interested in Kimmich, who has established himself as one of the Bundesliga's most consistent performers over the last few years. Now, Kicker journalist Georg Holzner has claimed that Bayern no longer considers the German international as 'untouchable' or 'unsellable', with the Bavarian giants willing to discuss a potential transfer should they receive a high offer.
