Arsenal plan to sign Fulham star Palhinha to replace Partey
Thomas Partey is suffering from a thigh injury and is focused on recovering as soon as possible. However, his recovery time is uncertain and he could be sidelined for longer than coach Mikel Arteta would like.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been out of action since the end of October and his availability for the rest of the season is doubtful. As a result, the Gunners are keen to strengthen their midfield in the coming months.
However, they could take advantage of his situation to look for a new destination for the 30-year-old as his current contract with the Gunners expires in 2025, meaning he has practically one year left at the Emirates Stadium.
According to the 'Mirror', the board want to sign Joao Palhinha, who will be a coveted signing in the next transfer window, from Fulham as soon as possible. The 28-year-old has already reached a pre-agreement with Bayern Munich but Arsenal are willing to meddle in the negotiations.
