William Saliba: A rare occasion where the Frenchman showed his tender age. Didn't need to dive in for the penalty and looked desperate to make amends for most of the night after that. 5.
Gabriel: Not helped by the unsettling presence of Raya dashing out, but should have kept his composure better for the first goal. A little ragged after that. 5.
Jakub Kiwior: A rough night for the Pole. He wasn't at fault for the first goal, but got far too tight on Sane time and again which led to the penalty. Arteta gave him the vote of confidence to start at left back, but he has probably lost his status as first choice in that position now. 5.

Jorginho: An unusually frenetic evening for the Italian. Couldn't control the game from deep, dived in in the lead up to the penalty and was one of many who guilty of playing the game with too much emotion. 5.
Martin Odegaard: Was dominating the game before the Bayern equaliser. Lost his influence as Arsenal gained composure, but showed some nice touches as they found their feet again in the second half. 6.
Declan Rice: A calming presence in the middle of the park when Arsenal lost their heads a little. The duel he won was crucial to the equaliser. 6.
