There are just 10 games remaining this season and things are looking pretty positive for Arsenal right now. The Gunners sit top of a thrilling three-way Premier League title race ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool. They are also into the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years where they'll play Bayern Munich.
To make matters even better, some players are returning to fitness. Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu both took part in a behind closed doors friendly against QPR as they continue their comeback from respective thigh and calf injuries.
Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Vieira have also been given the international break to rest and get some rhythm. Jurrien Timber meanwhile is getting closer to a return as he continues to progress through training.
This is all great news for Arteta who feels squad depth could be pivotal for the run in. “We don't know what’s going to happen and we’re going to have a lot of games,” he said earlier this month. “Freshness, more competition within the squad and the capacity to change games when the scenario is on our side or we are chasing games are something in this period that are going to be critical.”
While there are certainly positives to the increased numbers to pick from, Arteta also faces some tough decisions. On each Premier League matchday he's only allowed to include 20 players in his squad. That means a few are going to miss out.

The goalkeeping positions largely pick themselves. David Raya is the established number one, and Aaron Ramsdale is his back up as number two.
