Gabriel Martinelli spotted ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash vs Man City
Arsenal wingerGabriel Martinelli has been spotted spending the international break in London ahead of the Gunners’ huge Premier League clash against Manchester City at the weekend. The 22-year-old has missed the last league game against Brentford and the Champions League clash against Porto with a foot injury.
The problem also caused him to miss Brazil’s friendly game against England as well as their clash against Spain on Tuesday night. He was spotted walking through the mixed zone after the Brentford game on crutches, but any timeline for a comeback is unknown as he continues to rest the injury.
On his Instagram story, the winger shared a post of him taking a walk through Covent Garden in London. Martinelli has been a key player in Arsenal’s challenge for the Premier League title this season. He has featured in 25 games, scoring six goals and providing a further four assists.
Arsenal fans will therefore be hoping that the injury is not too serious. The Gunners return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on title rivals Man City at the Etihad Stadium.
A win for Arsenal would move them four points ahead of Pep Guardiola’s men at the top of the table. A loss, however, would see City leapfrog Arsenal in the table.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently top of the table on goal difference and will be looking to make it nine league wins in a row. The impressive form has seen Arsenal score 33 goals in the last eight games in the Premier League.
