Arsenal's Folarin Balogun in USMNT squad alongside Christian Pulisic to face Uzbekistan and Oman
Folarin Balogun looks set to leave Arsenal in the coming days, but has been named in the national side alongside ex-Chelsea star Christian Pulisic
Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun and former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic have both been named in the USMNT squad for their upcoming friendlies against Uzbekistan and Oman.
The pair were most recently featured in the CONCACAF Nations League Finals, with the latter captaining the Stars and Stripes to wins over Mexico and Canada in the final, and Balogun scoring the second in a 2-0 win.
The Gunners frontman has found himself selected despite having no involvement in Mikel Arteta's side over the first three matches of their Premier League season, with the 22-year-old set for a move to AS Monaco before the deadline closes.
Meanwhile Pulisic has hit the ground running with AC Milan following his exit from Chelsea over the summer, scoring twice in his first two games under Stefano Pioli.
He's linked up with former Blues Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Olivier Giroud perfectly with the trio being vital to Milan's perfect start to the season having won their first two games over Bologna and Torino.
The pair are also joined by fellow Premier League stars, including Nottingham Forests's Matt Turner and Fulham defenders Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson.
