Liverpool boxer Callum Smith will bid to win the IBF, WBC and WBO light-heavyweight titles this weekend as he takes on revered fighter Artur Beterbiev.
Smith was last in action back in August last year against Mathieu Bauderlique on the undercard of the second clash between Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk where he won in the fourth round. However, Saturday's opponent is expected to give Smith one of the toughest nights of his professional life.
Beterbiev also has an impressive 19-0 record with 19 KOs meaning no pro has been able to go the distance with the big hitter. However, Smith is positive he can overcome his feared opponent and speaking to Sky Sports he said he believes he can prove those wrong who think he can't upset the odds: "I definitely do believe I will prove all the doubters wrong. I know how good I am, I know how good I can be. Sometimes you don't really get the opportunity to show that."
Smith will take on Beterbiev this Saturday, January 13 at the Videotron Center in Quebec City, Canada.
Coverage of the fight is set to begin at around 2am UK time with the main event set to get underway at 4am on Sunday morning.
It is live on Sky Sports Arena from 1am and Sky Sports Main Event from 1.15am
