It’s only when you stop and reflect that you realise just how important funeral directors are in each and every community in the country.
They are on hand 24/7 to help us out in our darkest moments, to be professional and compassionate, and to ensure that our loved ones get the send-off that they deserve.
Now approaching seven years in business, and with 25 years’ experience, funeral director Debbie Bennett knows what it takes to do a good job for every family she serves.

Debbie’s commitment to excellence extends beyond herself. She has invested to ensure that her staff are diploma-qualified, each equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to support families through the funeral process with sensitivity and expertise.
The team is proud to serve local communities at their branches in Prescot, Rainhill, Bootle, and now the latest addition in Old Roan. However, she admits that it hasn’t been easy to get to this stage.
"I pushed myself to the limit to start the business in the community within which I lived,” she told the Echo. “I had no money left after I opened, and I had two part-time funeral arrangers helping me.
“It was a struggle to pay their wages for the first few months, and I hired vehicles and drivers in for the funerals. However, we are now fully self-sufficient.
“We employ over 20 staff, many of whom are members of my family, and we have a new fleet of funeral vehicles. Any profit we make, we re-invest in the company for the future of the business.
