Martin Odegaard has revealed the catalyst behind Arsenal's up-turn in form during 2024.
The Gunners have been the stand-out side in the Premier League throughout 2024 - having conceded just four goals in the calendar year as they continue to mount their top-flight title charge.
It marks a remarkable change in form for the Gunners, who's chances of winning the league appeared to be dwindling after a run of underwhelming results in December.
Now, with this in mind, Odegaard has revealed the reasons behind Arsenal's stellar performances in 2024 as he attributed it to their mid-season break.
Speaking to Men In Blazers, Odegaard said: 'I don't think it was anything special but I think sometimes you just need a break and a reset.
'As you said, we were struggling a bit before Christmas. I think we all needed to get away, get some rest and do some work. We came back fresh and sharp and it's been good after that'.
The Gunners set off for Dubai in January, where they underwent some warm-weather training to maintain their preparations for the second-half of the season.
The preparations have proved useful as Mikel Arteta's side have stormed the top-flight during 2024 - with his side now sitting top of the table.
Odegaard went on to discuss how his relationship with Arteta has helped develop his game, as well as benefitting Arsenal's performances in general.
He said: 'I think there's so many things going on in the game. There's so many small tactical tweaks.
'I just try to speak with him, get the information and then we can execute it on the pitch'.
The Norwegian also opened up on the revolution around Arsenal's set-pieces, which can be attributed to the arrival of Nicolas Jover in 2021.
