Barcelona are planning to bring in four players but on a limited budget during the summer transfer window, according to a report.
The Spanish giants are expecting to see more players leave the club than join, with big sales needed to fund any potential transfers.
Marcos Alonso and Oriol Romeu have been heavily linked with exits, with Alonso set to leave as a free agent in June. The left-back has been rumoured with a move to Atletico Madrid, whereas Romeu is keen to leave and return to Girona after just one season with Barca.
Currently, it looks as if Barca will recruit in two particular areas: central midfield and left wing.
Everton's Amadou Onana is one of their top targets, despite the lofty price tag that he will carry.
The club's current financial situation will place limitations over further business, with a quiet summer expected for Barca. Sporting director Deco will be forced to fill new positions with a small budget.
As opposed to signing a new winger, another option is for Brazilian winger Raphinha to stay with the club, with his current form suggesting that he may be a good alternative — he notably scored a match-winning brace in last week's 3-2 win at PSG.
Deco may have his hands tied as add some players are reluctant to leave, creating an even bigger challenge for him in the summer.
Barcelona will also struggle to convince head coach Xavi to stay if they encounter the same problems in the market as they did last summer. Xavi has confirmed he would not even entertain walking back on his decision to leave at the end of the season without certain assurances over transfers.
