Bayern Munich go all out for Kane: Tottenham will have to bend

Bayern Munich are pulling out all the stops to sign Harry Kane. This week, a delegation from the German side even travelled to London to convince Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy that it is time to sell the striker, undoubtedly the English club's flagship player.

Now it is Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern Munich, who has spoken out about the club's intentions. The Bavarians are convinced that they will eventually succeed in signing the striker.

«Harry Kane has made it very clear in all talks that his decision stands and, if it stands, then we will get him. Tottenham will have to bend,» Hoeness said in response to a question from SPORT1.

Tottenham are also playing their cards close to their chest and are working to keep Kane. Hence, according to some English media, they will offer him a new contract.

The deal they will present to the striker will include a salary of around 400,000 pounds a week (around 465,000 euros) along with a place at the club in the future, once his playing career is over.

Uli Hoeness also explained, speaking to SPORT1, how the talks with Tottenham are going. «Levy is clever, he doesn't give a figure. First we have to get him to give a figure. Of course he buys time. I think he is super-professional, intelligent. I hold him in high esteem,» he said.

On Kane's preferences, the Bayern Munich honorary chairman said: «He wants to play internationally and, luckily for us, Tottenham have no international activity next year. Now he has another chance to come to a top club in Europe. What we all like is that his advisors are also very nice in this case. His father and brother have always kept to what they have agreed. If it stays like this, it's fine.»
