Bayern Munich’s outgoing manager Thomas Tuchel has set his sights on a return to the Premier League (PL) as he prepares for his next move. Tuchel, who previously managed Premier League giants Chelsea, will be a free agent in the summer with Bayern announcing his departure back in February for a poor set of results. PL clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and West Ham are keeping close eyes on him despite strong interest from Barcelona for the German gaffer.
Tuchel back to Premier League?
According to ESPN, Tuchel already has several offers on his table including strong links to Barcelona, who also have vacancy at their helm. However, the 50-year-old is holding for a move to England as there could be some big and shocking vacancies at Premier League clubs. Manchester United and Chelsea are exploring options to get a new manager while West Ham United gaffer David Moyes is yet to sign a new deal, leaving another proposed option.
However, it is unlikely that Tuchel will move to West Ham with Barcelona as a big-club option. The Catalonians are already preparing for life without Xavi Hernandez who will leave the club in summer. Rafael Marquez and Hansi Flick remain options to replace Xavi, but Tuchel remains the favourite.
The German manager has already won a host of titles in his career and comes with a proven track record. He won the Champions League with Chelsea while winning league titles in France and Germany. Last season he won the Bundesliga while leading Chelsea to FA Cup and League Cup finals during his time at the club.
