Chelsea star Ben Chilwell has admitted that he is still getting used to his new, more advanced role under Mauricio Pochettino.
The 26-year-old has spent much of his career at the Blues in defence either as a left-back or left wing-back.
However, Chilwell has so far operated further up the pitch in a left wing role with Pochettino at the helm, much to the surprise of fans.
He assisted Axel Disasi for Chelsea's goal in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool on the opening weekend of the season.
Chilwell is yet to provide a contribution since then but says that he is still getting to grips with such a position.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, he said: «I mean it's something new, but the manager has put his trust in me to play there so I'm just trying to repay that trust.
»I'm still learning as I'm going, I've been used to playing at left wing-back and before that left-back so this is a bit higher up the pitch. When I'm playing that high up the pitch I expect the pressure that's on me to contribute to goals.
«Of course that's something that I'm going to try and work on and improve in the next few games for Chelsea, to have that goal threat, shoot instead of passing the ball.
»It's something that is new to me, it's obviously new to Levi [Colwill] as well but we're both taking it in our stride and we're happy that we're playing."
Pochettino's side have won just once in the Premier League so far this season, a 3-0 victory over newcomers Luton Town.
Their last result before the international break was a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest, a match that saw Chelsea have 21 shots on goal to no avail.
Having gained four points from their opening four games, the Blues sit 12th in the table, the position they finished in last season.
