Bernd Leno signs new Fulham contract until 2027

Leno, who joined Fulham from Arsenal in 2022, has put pen to paper on a contract that includes the option to extend by a further year.

Speaking to FFCtv, the shot-stopper said: «I found out about the offer from the club during the last international break, and it didn't take much time because I think all parties were very comfortable with it.

»I said straightaway that I want to stay here even longer, so I'm very happy about that, and about the long-term plans of the club.

«I feel there are still a lot of good years to come from me, and hopefully I can give something back to the Club, to the fans, to the team, to everyone at the Club, and we can be even more successful.»

Leno featured in 36 of Fulham's 38 Premier League games last season to help Marco Silva's side achieve a 10th-placed finish.

The 31-year-old has continued to play a key role during the current campaign, having featured in all 16 top-flight matches.

Leno has kept five Premier League clean sheets this season, including consecutive shutouts in 5-0 victories over Nottingham Forest and West Ham United in Fulham's last two outings.
