Breaking: Mauricio Pochettino issues injury news update on four Chelsea stars for Burnley clash

Mauricio Pochettino has issued a fresh injury update on Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Moises Caicedo and Mykhailo Mudryk ahead of Chelsea's clash against Burnley this weekend. Vincent Kompany will welcome the Blues to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon as both sides lookto climb the Premier League table before the international break.

Chelsea head into the fixture following back-to-back victories over Brighton and Fulham. As for Burnley, they currently sit third from bottom in the Premier League but they managed to pick up their first win of the season last week, beating Luton Town 2-1.

Nevertheless, Pochettino has revealed that both Caicedo and Mudryk will be available for selection in his pre-match press conference. The 51-year-old said: «Yes, both in the squad, we will decide later whether they have a chance for the start.

»It was close last week to join us. This week has trained well, I still have not decided, I need to check with Jesus and the medical staff as I'm straight from the training pitch and 30 minutes late, I am sorry for that."

James, who will miss the trip up to Lancashire due to suspension, has recently returned to training following injury. On the Chelsea captain, Pochettino said: «We are really happy with the way he is recovering. We hope that he has the possibility to be involved after his suspension.»

Then, on the Blues' vice-captain Chilwell, the Argentine added: «It is difficult, I am not a doctor. It is about judging day by day. We cannot say the period he will be out.»
