Chelsea are back in Premier League action this weekend with a London derby against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge. Mauricio Pochettino's men will be hoping to continue their impressive run of form having won their previous three games.
Saturday's fixture will be no easy ask with the Gunners sitting joint-top of the Premier League with Tottenham after eight games. However, the Blues could welcome back a number of key players to give them the best possible chance of victory.
Speaking on Friday,Pochettino was on hand to provide a positive update on captain Reece James. The right-back has been sidelined since the first game of the season but there had been optimism that he may return after the international break.
«We need to assess now because we've finished our training session a little bit late,» the Argentine said. «We need to assess Axel Disasi, we need to assess Nico, Nicolas Jackson. We need to assess alsoReece [James].
»[Armando] Broja is out, he has a little rotation problem in his knee, the problem from the past. We have a few players that we need to assess to see if they're available, if they can play, if they're on the bench or if they're off the list completely."
The update comes after Chelsea were handed a blow earlier this week when Carney Chukwuemeka and Trevoh Chalobah both suffered setbacks in their recovery. However, there was better news involving Benoit Badiashile.
