Carragher insists Liverpool only have themselves to blame after 2 dropped points

Jamie Carragher insisted Liverpool will be hugely disappointed not to have beaten Man United after leaving Old Trafford with just a point.

However, despite the result keeping the Reds level on points with Arsenal at the top of the table, Carragher insisted his former side will rue failing to finish their opponents off when they had the chance.

'Liverpool only have themselves to blame,' Carragher said post-match on Sky Sports. 'They weren’t clinical enough when it really mattered.

'They should have put Man Utd to bed. It’s definitely two points dropped.'

Jamie Redknapp agreed with his fellow pundit's assessment, and added the disappointment was evident on the faces of the team following the full-time whistle.

'Man Utd will be delighted with a point but Liverpool on the hand, they should have been 3-0 up at half time,' He said.
