Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has hinted that he could be involved in the FA Cup fourth-round clash against Newport County after returning from injury.
The midfielder has missed the last 13 games in all competitions with a hamstring injury but returned to the matchday squad for the Premier League game against Tottenham. He was named on the bench for that game but didn’t make it onto the pitch.
The Brazilian could potentially make his return at Rodney Parade this afternoon. He has hinted on social media that that could be the case after playing an extensive role in training in the build-up to the match.

Taking to his Instagram story, Casemiro has shared a graphic previewing the game against Newport, hinting that he will be involved. If that is in the starting XI or again being named on the bench remains to be seen.
His potential involvement comes after links with a move away from the club in recent days, Reports suggest that Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are lining up a bid for the midfielder. The 31-year-old has made a total of 12 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four goals.
United themselves have also sent a hint as to who could start up front against the Exiles on Sunday afternoon. The pre-match graphic on social media leads with Rasmus Hojlund, with the 20-year-old first choice for Erik ten Hag this season.
