Chelsea boss Emma Hayes slammed Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall for his “inappropriate” touchline antics during the Conti Cup final defeat, adding that his show of “male aggression” should have resulted in a dismissal.
Arsenal striker Stina Blackstenius supplied the game-winning goal in the dying minutes of extra-time following a tight contest with very few moments of quality. “He got a yellow card, he probably should’ve been sent off. It’s not the first time he’s acted in that manner.”
Eidevall claimed that the post-match bust-up occurred due to an argument over the use of multi-ball system for throw-ins, claiming Chelsea were opposed to it until "it suits them". "But it's all good I think, it's just in the heat of the moment,” Eidevall said.
