The Lionesses will face some of the Women’s Super League best stars when they go up against Australia in the World Cup semi-final.
This Wednesday, either the co-hosts the Matildas or Sarina Wiegman’s England will reach the final and play Spain.
And there’s some serious talent standing in the 2022 European champion’s way.
The Lionesses’ comeback against Colombia saw them advance to the semi-finals for the third time in a row in the competition, whilst the Aussies knocked France out on penalties after the game ended 0-0 following extra time.
The Matildas — who are the only team to beat England under Wiegman — have never made it past the round of 16 at the World Cup, a run they first achieved in 2019.
But despite this, the tournament’s co-hosts have been tipped to go far in the competition and are now two games from glory.
