Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is in line to make his debut for the club tonight in the Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Newcastle United.
The striker has been forced to wait to make his bow in Blue this season after suffering a knee injury in pre-season. After returning to first-team training in recent weeks, the £52million summer signing was named in Mauricio Pochettino's matchday squad for the first time on Saturday.
Nkunku was left on the bench in the 2-0 win over Sheffield United but his debut could come this evening. On Monday, Pochettino was asked if the Frenchman was available for selection. «Christoph was involved in the last game and will be involved. Today he was training well.
