Chris Sutton in Rangers penalty troll as Celtic hero leaves Robbie Savage bemused with 'just the two' quip
Smirking Chris Sutton took a veiled swipe at Rangers after they were awarded "just the two" penalties against Hearts.
Philippe Clement secured his second consecutive Scottish Premiership victory in a row with a remarkable late turnaround at Ibrox - with the Light Blues closing the gap on the league leaders to five points. But things could have been very different with Lawrence Shankland giving the visitors an early lead - with captain James Tavernier missing from the penalty spot in the first-half after Todd Cantwell was chopped down in the box by Tony Sibbick.
And referee John Beaton would point to the spot for a second time late in the game following a VAR check - with Peter Haring judged to have pulled Connor Goldson to the deck. Tavernier would make no mistake at the second time of asking - and Steven Naismith's men would collapse following the leveller with Danilo heading the winner beyond Zander Clark in injury-time.
And speaking on BBC 606, Sutton couldn't resist a cheeky quip over the manner of the victory. He said: "Rangers came from behind to win. They got two penalties today - just the two - and ended up winning late on."
Robbie Savage then took the bait - asking: "Are they not allowed to have two penalties?" Sutton went on: "No, they are. Lets here about the excitement for Philippe Clement, are are you moving up in the right direction?"
