Christian Pulisic sends Arsenal transfer instruction over USMNT ace Folarin Balogun
Arsenal have received a clear instruction on the decision to take over Folarin Balogun’s future.
Balogun enjoyed a breakthrough campaign on loan at Reims last term, clocking up 21 league goals in 37 games in Ligue 1. This has led to plenty of reported interest in the Hale End academy graduate, who has stated that he “definitely” will not be heading back out on loan next season. However, it remains to be seen if he will earn regular minutes under Mikel Arteta or whether the club decide to cash in on the 22-year-old.
One decision that has been settled is Balogun’s future at international level. The striker made 13 appearances for England Under-21s, but the Arsenal forward ultimately pledged his allegiance to the USA; a decision that delighted new AC Milan forward and USMNT skipper Christian Pulisic.

«You know, he was already able to impact the game and score. Yeah, we love having him! He just brings so much to our team and he’s such a talented player,” Pulisic said .

Balogun was almost instantly rewarded with silverware as he scored his first senior international goal in only his second cap during the team’s 2-0 win over Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League final in June. It is a positive sign for the USA that Balogun has fit in so seamlessly at international level but questions still remain over his next steps at club level.
