Arsenal’s Katie McCabe has revealed Conor McGregor invited her to his Dublin pub this summer after she scored Republic of Ireland’s first ever Women’s World Cup goal.
McCabe scored one of the goals of the tournament when she found the back of the net directly from a corner against Canada but couldn’t prevent Republic of Ireland from being knocked out in the group stages of the tournament.

“They’ve sacrificed so much to get there and achieve those moments. It’s the beauty of a team sport [as] you’re able to share it together then.
“I haven’t actually met him, no! He was on holiday! So, I didn’t meet him in the end, but I’m sure we’ll cross paths in the next few months, I’m sure.”
