With all the talk about the battle between Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya to be Mikel Arteta's No 1, Jonas Eidevall is having his own goalkeeping dilemma.
The opening two games of the Women's Super League season demonstrated why Arsenal tried, but ultimately failed, to sign Mary Earps from Manchester United.
Eidevall started Manuela Zinsberger in the 1-0 defeat at home to Liverpool on the opening day. Zinsberger was No 1 last season but was prone to errors.
The Austrian was not completely at fault for Liverpool's goal but did not cover herself in glory and her overall performance was shaky.
With that in mind, Eidevall brought in Sabrina D'Angelo for Friday night's clash with United.
After Arsenal had taken the lead through Stina Blackstenius, D'Angelo gifted Leah Galton an equaliser when, instead of clearing a long ball, produced an air-kick that left the United forward with an empty net to finish into.
There was then a mix-up in communication between the goalkeeper and Amanda Ilestedt for United's second. In D'Angelo's defence, she has barely played any football in the last year — for club or country — so was always likely to be rusty.
Eidevall now has the problem of deciding whether to revert back to Zinsberger — who he dropped, or whether to stick with D'Angelo, who is likely to now be short on confidence.
It raises the question of why Arsenal did not look for other options when they knew they would not be able to sign Earps. It is a point Fara Williams made passionately on her Boots, Balls and Bras podcast.
The former England international suggested Arsenal should have tried to sign Netherlands goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, who joined Aston Villa on a free transfer.
