Former Tottenham striker Mido has urged Daniel Levy to complete the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt ace Omar Marmoush this summer. The 25-year-old forward has made quite the impression in his first season with Eintracht after sealing a free transfer to the German side following his VfL Wolfsburg departure.
In 25 Bundesliga appearances this term, Marmoush, who can operate on either wing and also as a striker, has 11 goals and six assists to his name. The Egyptian international has also impressed in the Europa Conference League after registering four goals in seven outings and he has also scored in the DFB-Pokal.
In total, Marmoush has 16 goals and six assists in his 37 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler in the 2023/24 campaign. Going on his form for club and country, Mido wants Spurs to make a move for his fellow countryman.
A new striker will very likely be on Ange Postecoglou and Johan Lange's shopping list as they look to find a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who departed for Bayern Munich back in August. Tottenham are short on out-and-out strikers at the club at present, with Richarlison in and out of the team at times over the course of the season and Son Heung-min sometimes playing through the middle rather than on the left-wing.
Valued at £19million by Transfermarkt.com, it has been reported that Marmoush, who has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool recently, could cost around £43million if a club wants to prise him away from Deutsche Bank Park.
