Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to bring a torrid run of form to an end this weekend when they host relegation-threatened Burnley in the Premier League.
Spurs have lost their last four games in the Premier League while conceding a worrying 13 times, most recently losing 4-2 against Liverpool. They have been in the midst of a tricky run of fixtures, but their performances have left an awful lot to be desired, with Champions League qualification now looking nigh on impossible.
A clash with 19th-placed Burnley seems like the perfect opportunity for the Lilywhites to get back on track, with Tottenham relegating the Clarets with victory on Saturday. Ange Postecoglou has some tough calls to make in terms of his team selection though, with a number of his star performers having underwhelmed in recent weeks.
Here is how Tottenham could line up.
GK: Guglielmo Vicario - The summer signing has had a ropey few weeks, with his lack of authority at corners likely to be targeted by Burnley this weekend. However, he firmly remains Postecoglou's first choice for his shot-stopping abilities and distribution.
RB: Pedro Porro - Part of a Spurs defence that has largely disgraced itself in recent matches, Porro has also had his share of difficult outings. Having said that, he offers Tottenham a unique threat going forward and his range of passing could unlock Burnley's backline.
CB: Cristian Romero - The Argentine has failed to lead by example in recent weeks, but he is hardly the biggest issue with Tottenham's backline. A clean sheet against Burnley would be much appreciated.
