Darts sensation Luke 'The Nuke' Littler, 16, poses with forgotten Man Utd star

Teenage darts sensation Luke Littler continued to enjoy his incredible run to the last-16 of the PDC World Championships by posing with a forgotten Man United star.

'The Nuke' has been one of the major stories of the competition so far, leaving fans stunned with his confident performances after his latest win saw him comfortably defeat Canada's Matt Campbell 4-1 to maintain his fairytale journey at Ally Pally.

The 16-year-old is now the youngest player to reach the last-16 of the tournament and he has become a cult hero among those in attendance.

Victory means Littler has guaranteed himself £35,000 in prize money, with quarter-finalists at the storied competition earning £50,000 if they're sent home before the final four.

As Littler lapped up his success, he posted a picture of himself hanging out with a Manchester United outcast after another confident showing.

The teenager posed alongside forgotten midfielder Donny van de Beek and hailed him as a 'legend' after posting the picture on Instagram.

Van de Beek has found life at Old Trafford tough since joining in a £39million deal from Ajax in 2020 - and this season he has featured just once off the bench in the Premier League, playing for the last two minutes in a 1-0 home loss to Crystal Palace in September.

His only other appearance also came against Palace the previous week in the Carabao Cup, coming on for the final 19 minutes of a 3-0 win.

Van de Beek was able to put his troubled spell behind him as he enjoyed a night out at the darts to see Littler in action.

The kebab-loving teenager showed no nerves as he raced into a two-set lead, both won to love, against Campbell.
