A big game brought out the big hitters, and Henry Winter of The Times believes Arsenal were the biggest winners on the day and should now be considered title favourites.
"Liverpool’s urgency late on, bringing Mohamed Salah’s penalty equaliser but wasted opportunities from Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott, underlined their determination to win, which descended into desperation and ultimately dismay as they could only draw," he writes. "The main conclusion from this was: advantage Arsenal.
"This was a bad point for Liverpool, a good one for Manchester United and a very welcome result for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s side remain top, albeit on goal difference from Liverpool now, and face the trickier run-in, including Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and United, but the title is theirs to lose. They have the manager, the players, the belief and the momentum."
