Diogo Jota has revealed why he thinks Liverpool will not suffer without Mohamed Salah.
The Reds have enjoyed a strong start to the season. Jurgen Klopp’s side are three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, while also reaching the Carabao Cup semi-finals and the Europa League round of 16. Liverpool will be aiming to progress in the FA Cup when they face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
However, the Reds will be taking on the Gunners without their star forward Mohamed Salah, who has joined up with Egypt’s squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. Salah has registered a remarkable 27 goal contributions in as many games this season, but Jota has explained why he does not expect the Reds to falter without their top scorer.

"We will be without him for this month, at least, and we need to survive,” Jota told BBC Sport. “We know that we have the quality in our squad to fill that gap. Obviously, we would like to count on him to keep on going but we can see it as an injury, if you want.
"He’s not here but we know we have the squad to be able to win the games. Especially this month, we have the cup runs where Mo normally doesn’t play as much, so it is what it is. We have Arsenal and can only focus on Arsenal at the moment."
Jota is right to highlight the fact that Klopp may have opted to leave Salah out of the team against Arsenal, as well as Liverpool’s upcoming Carabao Cup semi-final ties with Fulham, later this month.
