Real Madrid's first team players have received their new BMWs for this season. Here are the models chosen by each squad member
As is now a tradition at the start of each new football season, Real Madrid's first team players have received their new cars for the 2023-2024 season.
This is the second year of the club's partnership with BMW and now the range of options for the players is even wider.
Unlike last year, where the only options were 100 percent electric, now the players have been able to choose partially-electric models.
This is the case of plug-in hybrids, which can run for almost 100 km on electricity but also have a petrol tank. In any case, however, all the cars available to the Real Madrid first team have the ZERO emissions label.
Up to four different models have been chosen by the players of the first team and the coach, Carlo Ancelotti, among coups (BMW i4), sedans (BMW i7) and the SUV iX and XM from the BMW catalog.
The most 'affordable' of all is the electric i4 eDrive35 i4, which currently costs 57,000 euros, while the most expensive is one of the new options: the plug-in hybrid XM which costs almost 180,000 euros.
The big star of the League, Englishman Jude Bellingham, chose the XM as his first BMW in white, which was also the favorite of the majority of the team. As many as eight players opted for the only model that is not 100 percent electric.
The next in the list of preferences was the i4, chosen by seven players and the Italian coach, closely followed by the iX, the other SUV and this one with battery -which, moreover, the players already know from last year-, also with seven requests. Nacho was the only 'discordant note', opting for the electric i7.
